Spending cuts have reduced the UK 's ability to be a "full partner" to the United States across the whole range of military operations, a former US Defence Secretary has said.
Robert Gates highlighted the decision which has left the Royal Navy without an operational aircraft carrier as an example of the erosion of "full spectrum capabilities" in the British armed forces.
Mr Gates, who served under presidents Barack Obama and George Bush, said he lamented cuts in defence spending on both sides of the Atlantic.

In my view Mr Robert Gates is right . The problems in the Middle East are not only harmful to the United States of America . There are events in history that leads to realize that the problems are not only north american . Comodo the United States would solve the problem solitude and rest does not mean that the enemy was the enemy . You let the enemy have only the view that only the United States was the enemy . If there is a " probability" ( and there is a likelihood of many that are part of Al Qaeda ) the enemy manages to resurface , the idea is that at least it is not only against the United States of America , the hatred of retaliation exist .
The historical facts show that they acted not only against the United States of America . A while ago I was talking to myself , that the problems of Al Qaeda has not only a focus. But if one day be needed more than an intrusion , it would be in several places simultaneously , or in sequence to the next . As an example Afghanistan and Libya . Ein Maler gibt sinnliche Dinge wieder und ist so laut Platon ein “Nachahmer des Scheins”.

Beim heutigen Malen des Elementes Feuer ist mir aufgefallen, wie ich die Kühle des Wassers im Wasserzeichen zeichnete, die Distanz, die ich zu dem Element Wasser habe. Da ich selber zu den Feuerzeichen gehöre, geht in diese Zeichnung meine Nähe ein, die Sternzeichen Widder, Schütze und Löwe sind auch Liniengewaltiger durch die Haare der Tiere und des Schützen.
